A Tufunzeni Success Story

When I first joined the Tufunzeni Community, I thought it would simply be another space to exchange ideas with fellow teachers. What I didn’t realize then was that it would open doors to life-changing opportunities.

Through the community, I learned about the online TEFL–Teacher Record Course, a program designed to equip teachers with internationally recognized skills in teaching English as a foreign language. At first, I was hesitant, but with encouragement from the group, I enrolled.

The experience turned out to be transformative. The course was flexible, practical, and packed with useful strategies for teaching diverse learners. More importantly, it gave me a globally recognized certification, which boosted my confidence and opened new career pathways.

Since completing the TEFL course, I have not only improved my classroom delivery but also gained the chance to connect with teaching opportunities beyond Kenya. What started as a simple message on WhatsApp has grown into a journey of professional growth, global exposure, and renewed passion for teaching.

The Tufunzeni community did more than share information — it created an impact ripple that has empowered me, and now I strive to pass on that same encouragement to other teachers who may be seeking a way forward in their careers.
